What is a Follow Up Program?

Many young people who come on a Mittagundi Course have a pretty amazing time, and are keen to come back and be involved in the place. Follow-up courses are about being part of the Mittagundi community and lend a hand, to experience more of Mittagundi and meet like-minded new and old friends.

You can only come on a Follow Up program once you have completed either a 10 day program or a Winter program.

Follow Up Program Dates 2012

Winter Course

3rd July to 7th of July 2012, July School Holidays.

Exploring the High Plains as a winter wonderland, fun in the snow. We cross-country ski and camp out at a cosy old cattleman’s hut in the High Plains. 20 places, $150, sponsors available.

Garden Party

2nd to the 6th of November 2012

Garden? Dig it! Working in the veggie patch, dirty hands, getting ready for the growing season. Also other Mittagundi projects and jobs after winter. 20 places, $150, sponsors available.

Enterprise

13th to the 18th of December 2012

Feeling handy? Create opportunities for other young people by making carpentry, blacksmithing, wool and other handmade items to be sold at Markets for some much needed fundraising, $150, 24 places, sponsors available.

Wood Chop

29th December to the 4th of January 2012, December School Holidays

A lumberjack for the week! Lugging, carting, loading, stacking a shed-full of firewood for the coming year. Meeting the new staff, saying farewell to the old staff. 24 places, $150, sponsors available.
